How a cropped shirt is meant to sit

The body finishes at or just above the waistband rather than over it. Worn buttoned, it sits clean with a high-rise trouser and shortens the top half deliberately. Worn open over a longer tee, the layer underneath extends past the shirt hem and the two read as one outfit. What it won't do is sit like a standard shirt — if you're after something to tuck, this isn't it.
